Instructor Bio
Edgar Lopez is a dedicated Texas Peace Officer with over 16 years in Law Enforcement. Edgar has served in many roles, including Patrol Officer, Traffic Officer, DWI Task Force, and Field Training Officer. He is also a certified Firearms Instructor, Patrol Rifle Instructor, Basic Instructor and Taser Instructor. He served 13 years in the United States Marine Corps with one tour to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and 5 years in the ARMY Reserves.
As an instructor, Edgar focuses in training the officers with the critical skills needed to respond effectively in high-risk situations. As a certified Firearms Instructor, his focus is on ensuring the shooters develop their core skills. His extensive experience and commitment to safety, precision, and education makes him a trusted leader in both military and law enforcement communities.
